State Recognition & Licensure

Explore the states that recognize one or more QABA certifications for behavior analyst licensure or Medicaid-funded ABA services.

Expanding access to qualified behavior analytic services

QABA is committed to supporting broader recognition of high-quality behavior analysis credentials throughout the United States. The states listed below recognize one or more QABA certifications for professional licensure or Medicaid reimbursement.

Recognition of a credential does not replace other state requirements. Applicants may still need to meet state-specific education, supervised experience, background check, fee, and application requirements.

Applicants are responsible for confirming all current requirements with the appropriate state licensing board or Medicaid agency before applying.
