QABA Exam Instructions

The upcoming exam will be conducted using Safe Exam Browser (SEB), a secure web browser environment designed specifically for conducting online examinations. SEB creates a controlled testing environment that restricts access to unauthorized resources, ensuring the integrity of the exam process.

On the day of the exam, you will join a Google Meet session using the link provided by the QABA proctor. It is crucial that you have SEB already installed and operational on your computer prior to this meeting. The proctor will then guide you through the process of logging into the examination portal where you’ll take your exam.

Pre-Exam Requirements

To ensure a smooth and secure examination process, all candidates must comply with the following requirements and instructions. Failure to adhere may prevent participation in the exam.

Operating System Compatibility:

  • Windows Users: Must have Windows 10 or later.

  • Mac Users: Must have Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) or later.

Exam Scheduling and Communication

  • Google Meet Exam: The exam will be conducted over Google Meet. Ensure you can access your QABA account before the exam date.

  • Assistance: For immediate assistance, call QABA at 877-220-1839 or email info@qababoard.com.

  • Retake Policy: If you have not paid your retake fee after the frst attempt, you must reschedule your exam with QABA or pay the retake fee. Failure to attend the exam due to incorrect time zone selection will result in a need to pay the retake fee.

Exam Environment Standards

  • Solo and Clear Space: You must be alone in a room with a clear desk and area.

  • Power Source Connection: Ensure your device is connected to a power source.

  • Prohibited Items: No phones, headphones, smart watches, or dual monitors.

  • No Movement: Remain seated with no talking throughout the exam

  • Required Equipment: Computer, webcam, speakers, and microphone must remain on. Any issues with these may require a retake fee for a new exam attempt.

  • Visibility: The proctor must have a clear view of you for the entire exam

Additional Rules and Special Instructions

  • Allowed: You may have a drink on your desk.

  • Identifcation: Government-issued photo ID required for verifcation. Soft copies are not accepted.

  • Workspace: Full view of the desk and foor area must be shown to the proctor, clear of all items.

  • Supported Devices: The exam must be taken on a Desktop or Laptop. Tablets and Chromebooks are not supported.

  • Google Meet Setup: Use Chrome browser with only Google Meet open. Close all other tabs.

  • Pre-Exam Check: Use a handheld mirror to show the monitor and keyboard refection. If using a cell phone for this, it must be turned off and placed out of reach.

Post-Exam Instructions

  • Passed Exams: Your video will be reviewed for fnalization, taking 3 – 7 business days. Check your QABA account for next steps.

  • Failed Exams: Pay the retake fee via your QABA account to unlock your next exam attempt. Contact QABA if you face issues with payment.
